There are many sites, routes, and museums of historical interest in the larger Motril area. In order of historical period, we recommend visiting the historic Phoenician settlement in Almuñecar, passing through the Roman villa of Salar, and ending in the monumental heritage of Muslim Granada.

Don't forget to save some time to admire crafts, ceramics and tiles in the villages.

The energy of the sun, the healthy Mediterranean diet and the local work-life balance are some of the reasons why there are so many athletes around the Costa Tropical, also in the urban environment that offers activities such as yoga classes, golf, paddle, tennis and beach volleyball.

If the fun offered by the beaches, with their inflatable water parks, dolphin views from a canoe, or ball games, is not enough, there are many other attractions for children and young people. In the vicinity of Motril, we have equestrian centers, the Aquatropic Waterpark, the Loro Sexi Park, and the Nerja Cave. In a wider radius, up to about 100km, we recommend attractions such as the Oasys Mini Hollywood theme park (located in Tabernas, Almería), Soportújar (the famous witch village in La Alpujarra), or the Science Park in Granada.

Motril also offers plays in its beautiful Calderón de La Barca Theater.
