  • Gastronomy and good company

Taste fresh seafood, prepared in the numerous and ubiquitous bars, chiringuitos/beach cafes, and restaurants.

Or try delicious meatsand vegetables offered with beautiful views in the white villages of the interior.

The creative cuisine of the Costa Tropical incorporates tropical fruits that, within Europe, only grow in these lands.

Another option: tapas, starting in the alleys, followed by flamenco shows in Granada, live music, and ending in bars and clubs at the foot of the beach in Motril.

Olive tourism: olive oil is the key element of the Mediterranean diet, included in UNESCO’s worldwide List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The region's sugar cane tradition is highlighted in the ice cream parlors and pastry shops in Motril and the region, and in the famous Ron Montero distillery.

When visiting La Alpujarra, don't forget to stop and try the Trevélez ham.
